Thanks for posting. We are experienced shortsale agents and there is NO WAY you could get a shortsale closed in 2-4 weeks with MOST banks as the Remax Chairman stated. I hate that misinformed individuals mislead the public like that! It makes those of us working our tails off to help people look like we dont know what we are doing when in reality, we are working in a severley broken system. We are continually lied to, not to mention the other “honest” reasons the shortsale processes we have now just dont work. I pray the new rules starting April 1st make a difference, and hopefully, the wide publicity of the program will help the public keep the banks accountable to it… but im not holding my breath.

Most real estate agents do not understand the dynamics of short sales and treat these properties like any other … does not work. The intricacies are extreme and defy conventional wisdom.
