For the last month or so, we have been doing our very best to inform owners who contact us about what is happening right now in the short sale market. The general public is just now starting to learn how ineffective short sales are. What compounds the problem is that when an owner goes into default, the bank suggests that the owner list for a short sale (that’s because the banks are deluged, and have no solutions to offer, so that is their default suggestion).
When you realize that the probablility of a short sale is very low, the next question is how you will get out of the defaulted property with as little damage to your credit/stress/etc as possible.
Compounding the short sale dillema is a new report that just came out. Everyone on the news is talking about it, because it directly impacts owners of real estate with any mortgage. The shocking report shows that in a very short time, more than HALF of US households will owe MORE on their mortgage, than the value of the property. You can READ ABOUT IT HERE
